Closing Ceremony

On Tuesday, October 8, 2013 after the participants discussion over the knowledges and skills they gained and developed during the project , and their learning interview with their leaders and tutorials for YOUTHPASS Certificate, the project ended with a Closing Ceremony where all participants and their leaders recieved Awards for Participation and souvenirs by exchanging presents.

Chiliomodi Tenea Project

On Tuesday, October 8, 2013 During the visit to an ancient cemetery of the Archaic period, Dr. Elena Korka, director of the excavation, explained  the excavation techniques and will spoke about the work of the archaeologists, the fight against the illicit trade in antiquities and the effort for their recovery. The participants were allowed to participate the excavation process and to touch the ancient finds.

Exhibition Opening

OPENING : 6 October 2013 

Location: Isthmia Prime Hotel , Corinth  Greece




Traditional Costumes Workshop

In this workshop the participant created together a Greek , a Russian and a Romanian traditional costume , using paper and paints.

Museum's Photo Exhibition Workshop

Before the period of mobility , the participants have been asked to take photos of their country's museums which were presented at the photo presentations. During this workshop they had to discuss the way these photos will be organized and how they will be arranged during the exhibition. Finally the participants had to organize the "Museum's Photos and traditional costumes exhibition".

Visit to Athens

On Sunday, October 6, 2013 the participant visited Athens and specifically Parthenon and Acropolis Museum  and they had walking tours in Ancient Agora and Monastiraki .

Greek Cultural Evening

During the Greek cultural Evening the youth people cooked together greek salad , dakos and souvlaki . Then there were presented greek folklore dances , which finally all participant danced. 

Experiential Workshop: Alternative museums around the world- Learning and Creation

This workshop were held at 5/10/2013 by :
- Matina Georgovrettakou , Philologist, MSc in Education and Culture
- Zoe Pelekanou , Theatrical Education with a specialization in culture

The young scientists presented alternative museums around the world and then they asked the participants to imagine their own alternative museum and to describe it.

Romanian Cultural Evening

Romanian Cultural Evening (4/10/2013) started with the traditional cuisine workshop , where the participants cooked together  mamaliga, mici and mujdei. Then the beaudiful classical melodies on piano , by young romanian participans fascinated the audience . Afterwards all participant danced traditional romanian dances. The evening closed with romanian wine for adults and games for the teens.

Russian Cultural Evening

Today Thursday, October 3, 2013 , after the "Official Opening" and "What is YOUTHPASS" presentation , there were held a conference and Photo Presentation by Russia “Museums of Moscow and Youth” & Presentation of Russian Museums. 










Afterwards the youth form Russia leaned their coevals from Greece and Romania ,  how to cook pelmeni , blini , and russian salad (russian traditional cuisine workshop ). The traditional dances performance stoled the limelight , so russian participant learned youth from the other countries some steps of russian traditional dances.

Official Opening

Today Thursday, October 3, 2013 the Official Opening of the Programme started with a warm welcome and indroduction by the presidents of the involved organizations , specifically by:
- Mr. Ioannis Maronitis , President of Club for UNESCO of the Department of Piraeus and Islands
- Mr. Sergey Gogolev , President of Youth UNESCO Club UNITY 
- Mr. Rosca Ovidiu , President of A.C.C.S.A.L.P.C. 

Then the participants recieved welcome by local authorities :
- Mr. Alexandros Pnevmatikos , Mayor of Korinthos
- Mr. Konstantinos Logothetis , Mayor of Loutraki- St. Theodore

Before the break , the russian team made a surprise , with a traditional russian dance , for the welcome. 

Afterwords there were an introductory on the thematic issue of the museums, conference by the speakers below :

The Opening Ceremony closed with a symbolic interactive game named "Carpet of Communication" , which symbolizes the global international network and connection , by intercultural communication , which is a way to promote the peace and intercultural unerstandig as well as cultural diversity in the world.

Welcome !!


Today Wednesday, October 2, 2013 , the participant from Romania , Russia and Greece , arrived to Isthmia Prime Hotel at Corinth and completed the Application Form for the Participation in the Project. Meanwhile they recieved the printed materieal for the project .







Earlier , the volunteers from Club for UNESCO of the Department of Piraeus and Islands welcome the Russian team , at the Airport Eleftherios Venizelos , with a little Surprise ; they was holding a big WELCOME banner ! The Romanian Team arrived by bus , directly to the hotel. 




Afterwords the young people meet each other at the hotel's lounge room , and then they had a welcome "Ice Breaking" Evening.
